Know Her Heart is built to respect your privacy. You can read everything on this site without creating an account, giving your name, or being tracked. This notice explains the little information involved in running the site, in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
What we do not do
- No accounts or sign ups for readers.
- No advertising, and no advertising or tracking cookies.
- No analytics or tracking services, such as Google Analytics or social media pixels.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of personal information with anyone.
- No outside fonts or scripts. Everything on the page, including fonts and Bible verse text, is served from our own server, so your visit is not reported to other companies.
What is collected, and why
- Server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting server automatically records basic technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. These logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting, are not used to identify readers, and are deleted on the provider's normal schedule.
- Your text size choice. If you use the Text size buttons on an article, your choice is saved only in your own browser on your own device, so the next article opens at the same size. It is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
- Bible verse popups. When you open a verse, your browser asks our own server for the text. Our server fetches the verse from bible.org once and keeps a copy. Nothing about you is sent to bible.org.
- Site editors only. The people who write and edit articles log in to a private admin area, which uses a secure session cookie. Readers never receive this cookie.
Links to other sites
When you follow a link to another website, such as a Bible passage on Bible Gateway, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Children
This site is written for adults 18 and over and is not directed to children.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to be informed, to access, to object, to correct, to erasure or blocking, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. Because we do not collect personal information from readers beyond standard server logs, there is usually nothing on file about you. If you have a question or a request, write to us at hello@knowherheart.com.
